AmIslamic Bank has recently accelerated the clearing time for cheques in line with industry developments.

This means that you can now enjoy access to funds from deposited cheques sooner than before. With these changes, if a cheque is issued without sufficient covering funds it may be dishonoured and fees and charges will apply in line with the existing terms and conditions of your account.

To help you avoid such fees and inconvenience, please ensure that there are sufficient funds available in your account when issuing a cheque as AmIslamic Bank will no longer be able to contact you in the case of insufficient funds unless prior arrangements have been made.
