Client Charter on Processing of Loans to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
Our Commitment AmBank Group is committed in promoting transparency and providing efficient service in the processing of loan applications to the SMEs. We believe that all customers have the right to be treated in accordance with the Client Charter, which is consistent with our mission and values.
PURPOSE OF LOANS
We offer a comprehensive range of facilities to finance the following requirements:
Working Capital
Purchase of owner-occupied business premises
Acquisition of factory, machinery and related equipment
TYPE OF LOANS
We provide the following type of loans under both Conventional and Islamic Banking:
Bank Negara Funded Fund
Government Guaranteed Scheme
Credit Guarantee Corporation Scheme
Hire Purchase (Act and Non-Act)
Contract Financing
Overdraft
Term Loan
Multi Trade Facilities
Property Loan
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & PROJECT VIABILITY
We shall process the loan applications that meet the following conditions:
Small and Medium Enterprises as defined by Bank Negara Malaysia
Companies of sound financial standing with viable business and satisfactory track record of a minimum 3 years within the same business.
Satisfactory credit record and standing upon checking
The facilities applied for must be utilised for productive purposes in line with the companies’ nature of business
DOCUMENTS & INFORMATION REQUIRED
We require the following documents and information to enable us to process the loan application:
A letter stating the purpose and credit limit of the facility/ies applied for.
Other supporting documents as outlined in our loan applications checklist. The comprehensive checklist can be easily obtained at our nearest AmBank Branches.
DURATION OF LOAN PROCESSING
We shall process the loan application within one month from the date of receipt of all relevant documents. The Letter of Offer will be issued within 3 days after the loan is approved.
STATEMENTS OF ACCOUNTS
We shall issue the Statement of Accounts as per the following schedules:
Term Loan – Statements will be provided annually.
Overdraft – Current Account Statements will be provided monthly.
CHANNEL OF APPEAL
We provide the following channel of appeal in cases where the loan application is rejected. Unsuccessful applicants may submit their appeals in writing to:

REVIEW OF APPEAL
We shall review the appeal within two weeks from the date of receipt of the letter of appeal and all additional documents required. The result will be communicated to the applicant in writing within 3 days after decision is made.
