  • 1.What is AmOnline eRemittance?
    AmOnline eRemittance is a web based portal where AmOnline customers can remit or transfer money through this service to beneficiaries around the world except for Thailand and Singapore. You may also transfer to your children studying abroad as well as friends or relatives travelling or living abroad provided that they have an account to receive the funds.
  • 2.Who can use AmOnline eRemittance?
    All AmOnline users with savings and/or current accounts can use this facility.
  • 3.What are the currencies available for this service?
    As of now our eRemittance service will provide the currencies which are listed here.
  • 4.Can I use AmOnline eRemittance service 24 hours a day?
    Our AmOnline eRemittance service is available every day, from 6.00am to 11.45pm.
  • 5.Will I need TAC for eRemittance transactions?
    Yes, you do. Also if you are transferring money to the same account regularly, you should store your recipient's account details in the 'Account Maintenance' list. However, you are required to key in TAC for both 'Open Beneficiary' as well as 'Favourite' Beneficiary account transactions.
  • 6.How long is the processing time for Remittance?
    All eRemittance requests will be processed at the Remittance Centre located in Kuala Lumpur on the next working day. For request submitted on Saturday, Sunday and Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Public Holidays, your request will be processed on the next Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory working day.
     
    The actual time taken for beneficiary to receive the money will depend on the respective agent or beneficiary bank.
  • 7.What is the daily transaction limit for eRemittance?
    The global limit for eRemittance is RM10, 000 per day.
  • 8.How much are the transaction charges for eRemittance via our AmOnline?
    Telegraphic Transfer (payable in Foreign Currency) Cable charges / processing fee (Singapore) RM 10.00
    Cable charges / processing fee (Thailand) RM 15.00
    Cable charges / processing fee (Others) RM 25.00
    Agent charges Will be borne by the beneficiary
    Foreign Worker Remittance (Service available only for remittance in IDR to Indonesia) Service charge RM10.00 per application
    Rejected application
    ( Due to transaction rejected by Agent Bank)
    RM5.00 per application and IDR 30K per application
  • 9.Will there be any other bank charges incurred by the recipient?
    The foreign bank may charge extra costs to the recipient of the fund. This is usually deducted from the total payable to the beneficiary.
  • 10.How can I check if my foreign currency transfer is successful?
    Login to AmOnline and select 'Past' under 'eRemittance'. If the money has already been transferred out from AmBank, you may call AmBank Contact Centre to check on the status.
  • 11.Can my eRemittance request be reversed and refunded immediately upon submission?
    No, your eRemittance request will be returned only if any beneficiary details are incorrect or rejected by your beneficiary’s agent bank. The service charge incurred is not refundable.
  • 12.Who do I contact if the recipient does not receive the money?
    Please contact our Contact Centre hotline at 1-300-80-8888 (Domestic) or 603-21788888 (Overseas) if you have any enquiries.
  • 13.What are the possible reasons for a transaction to be rejected?
    The transaction will be rejected due to: -

    1. Wrong account number.
    2. Payment to a deceased account holder or closed account
    3. Account cannot be credited due to other reasons determined by the foreign banks.
