Faked phone calls, emails, websites and SMSes have been on the rise whereby scammers would trick customers to reveal their personal details (such as login ID, password, Transaction Authorisation Code , etc) by using the following methods:

1. Using phone numbers that look exactly or very similar to AmBank’s actual Contact Centre number
(eg: +601300808888 or 03-21788889).

2. Tricking customers to fake AmBank AmOnline Internet Banking sites by sending fraudulent emails
(eg : http://www.studio-elbouraq.com/modules/ambank.amonline.com.my/amonline.html)

3. Fraudulent SMSes requesting customers to contact a faked telephone number to reveal personal information.
(eg: Congratulations! You are a winner of our deposit contest. You are required to open an account with AmBank with a minimum deposit of RM1,000. Please contact this number for more details: +601300808888)

We wish to advise you NOT to entertain such requests and NEVER to divulge your personal details to others, including those claiming to be bank personnel or from the management.

For your information, AmBank will NEVER request that you reveal your login ID or password details to us.
