How Does TAC Work?   
  • AmOnline users must request for TAC before they can perform certain AmOnline transactions, which requires TAC.
  • TAC will expire after half an hour if it is not being used.
  • TAC is valid for only half an hour after it has been used.
  • Once TAC expires, users must apply for a new TAC if they wish to perform AmOnline transactions that requires TAC.
  • If users accidentally deletes the TAC SMS from their mobile phone or forgot the TAC, users must request for a new TAC.
  • Users can reuse the TAC for different financial transactions within a period of half an hour after activation or during the same login session.
  • First time users must register for TAC request at any AmBank ATMs or via AmBank Contact Centre at 1300 80 8888 (Domestic) or (603) 2178 8888 (Overseas).
  • To request for TAC via AmBank Contact Centre, users are required to have a Telephone PIN. Please note that you may only request 5 TACs per day via AmBank Contact Centre.
