Inter-Bank Funds Transfer @ ATMs
  • 1.What is Inter-Bank Funds Transfer?
    Interbank Fund Transfer (IBFT) is a facility at Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) that enables AmBank/AmIslamic customers to transfer funds from one account to another account that is maintained with MEPS participating banks and vice versa.​
  • 2.How does it work?
    There are three different ways on how you can perform IBFT at ATMs.
     
    • Interbank Funds Transfer at AmBank/AmIslamic Bank ATM
    • Interbank Funds Transfer at beneficiary’s bank ATM
    • Fund transfer at other participating bank’s ATM
  • 3.Who are the participating banks?
    • Affin Bank
    • AGRO Bank
    • Alliance Bank
    • AmBank
    • Bank Rakyat
    • Bank Simpanan Nasional
    • CIMB Bank
    • Hong Leong Bank
    • Maybank
    • Public Bank
    • RHB Bank
  • 4.Is there any limit to the amount of funds that can be transferred per day?
    Yes. The maximum amount is RM5, 000.00 per day.​
  • 5.If I exceed the ATM withdrawal limit while performing IBFT, will I be able to perform other transactions via ATM e.g. Cash withdrawal?
    Yes. You can perform other transactions via ATM including ATM cash Withdrawal as it is separate limit from RM5, 000.00 IBFT daily limits.​
  • 6.If I exceed the ATM withdrawal limit while performing IBFT, will I be able to perform same transaction (InterBank GIRO) via AmOnline?
    Yes. You can perform Interbank GIRO via AmOnline as it is separate limit from the RM5, 000.00 IBFT daily limits.​
  • 7.Do I need to register or subscribe to this service?
    No registration or subscription is required. This service is readily available for customers of participating banks.​
  • 8.When will the funds be made available?
    Recipient will receive the transferred funds immediately as it is an online and real-time funds transfer service.​
  • 9.What are the operating hours?
    This service is available from 6:00 am to 12 midnights.​
  • 10.What is the service fees/charges for this service?
    For every successful IBFT transaction, a service fee of RM 1.00 will be imposed.​
