AmBank (M) Berhad launched its latest campaign called “AmAssurance On Tour” at Menara AmBank Group in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, 20 February 2017.
The AmAssurance On Tour – Insurance truck campaign aims to increase public awareness and knowledge on various AmAssurance products and services, underwritten by AmGeneral Insurance Berhad offered at all AmBank branches.
“This initiative was established with an objective of reaching out to more customers to meet their insurance and personal protection needs. In Malaysia, the general insurance penetration level stands at less than 2%, compared to 3-4% in the more developed countries, which provides us good opportunity for growth in terms of general insurance penetration,” said Dato’ Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, Group Chief Executive Officer, AmBank Group before launching the event.
The first phase of the campaign will see the truck stationed one day in each branch across the Klang Valley covering a total of 53 branches. The campaign will then continue to the Northern, Southern and East Coast regions covering in total 147 branches in the Peninsular.
Members of the public who visit the truck will enjoy free basic health checks – Body Mass Index, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar Level and have the chance to win exciting prizes.
The AmAssurance On Tour truck is another engaging platform where we can reach out to the public on our Banca product offerings as following:

The Snatch Theft Protection policy given the current state of snatch theft is a new offering which we are getting a lot of traction as people are getting more concerned about personal protection.
“You will be seeing more new offerings coming up soon and this is the first phase of our campaign to reach out to more customers,” added Dato’ Sulaiman.
