AmBank Group hosted its Chinese
New Year 2017 open house attended by approximately 1200 people comprising
clients, guests and members of the media on Wednesday, 8 February 2017.
The AmBank Group Chinese
New Year Open House held at a leading local hotel in Kuala Lumpur was hosted by
Tan Sri Azman Hashim, Chairman, AmBank Group. Among the senior management in
attendance were Dato’ Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, Group Chief Executive Officer, Board
Members and Senior Management from the Group’s subsidiaries such as Retail
Banking, Investment Banking, Wholesale Banking and Insurance.
“We are organising this year’s
Chinese New Year Open House exclusively for our valued clients as our way of
showing appreciation for their support and also for giving us the opportunity
to work together as a team. It is certainly an occasion to be connected with
all our clients and at the same time to usher in the Year of the Fire Rooster.
“As you know, festive
occasions bring out the best in Malaysians and this is when we, as Malaysians
of all races, meet and celebrate as one. Fire Roosters are known to be
trustworthy, with a strong sense of timekeeping and responsibility at work – an
important trait which we continuously instil in our employees to serve our
customers better,” said Tan Sri Azman.
Other than enjoying the
usual Chinese New Year delicacies, there was also Yee Sang which symbolises abundance, prosperity and vigor. The
guests were also entertained by Lion Dance Performance by the The
Kun Seng Keng Lion and Dragon Dance Association from Muar, Johor, who last year
won their 11th world champion title, erhu
(Chinese two-stringed violin) performance together
with hit songs performed by The Singing Shop and Tan Sri Azman himself.
