AmBank Group sponsors 14th AmBank Group-SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship 2019

Razlan, Club Manager, Glenmarie Golf and Country Club at the Opening Ceremony of the 14th AmBank Group-SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship 2019 which will be held from 15-17 October 2019.
For the 14th time in a row, AmBank Group is bringing on board the fourteenth edition of the AmBank Group-SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship 2019 as the main sponsor. The tournament will be held at the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam, Selangor from 15-17 October 2019.
The annual event this year will feature 65 junior golfers from Malaysia and 79 international players from India, Taiwan, Indonesia, Switzerland, China, Australia, Thailand, United States of America, Brunei, Philippines, Japan and South Korea with a total of 88 boys and 56 girls.
The overall Best Player from the Blue Tee (Boys 13-14 and 15-18 age group category) and White Tee (Girls 13-14 and 15-18 age group category) will be vying for the Tan Sri Azman Hashim Challenge Trophies, named after the AmBank Group Chairman. There is also the best team category where the winning team will be presented with the Tunku Imran Challenge Trophy.
The overall Best Player from the Blue Tee (Boys 13-14 and 15-18 age group category) and White Tee (Girls 13-14 and 15-18 age group category) will be vying for the Tan Sri Azman Hashim Challenge Trophies, named after the AmBank Group Chairman. There is also the best team category where the winning team will be presented with the Tunku Imran Challenge Trophy.

For the AmBank Group-SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship 2019, the 144 juniors will play in eight group categories as below:

The main prize categories in the Championship are:
- 1st-5th placing for each category
- Best Overall Player (Blue Tee) and Best Overall Player (White Tee)
- Inter Country Team Champion
Players will have the opportunity to win four golf scholarships offered by the renown Hills Golf Academy where one player will be offered a one year scholarship and three players will be offered a one month scholarship. A Selection Panel will select the winners of the 2019 Hills Golf Academy Scholarships.
