AmBank Group to observe minute of silence as part of National Day of Mourning

As part of the National Day of Mourning on Friday 22 August, the AmBank Group will be participating in the Government’s call to observe a minute of silence, in honour of the 298 passengers and crew on board the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 that crashed as the remains of the first 20 victims arrive in Malaysia on that day. All employees across the AmBank Group will show their respect by observing one minute of silence at 11.00 a.m., wherever they may be, connected across the Group by a common gesture of mourning and respect.

Tan Sri Azman Hashim, Chairman, AmBank Group said, “On this National Day of Mourning, the AmBank Group joins all Malaysians in mourning the loss of those on MH 17. We pray for strength for the families and friends of all who are affected. Let us remain strong and stand united as Malaysians because together, we are stronger.”
