Dato' Sulaiman Mohd Tahir to Exit AmBank, Leaving A Significant Mark
Monday, 6 November 2023 - AMMB Holdings wishes to announce the retirement of Dato' Sulaiman Mohd Tahir as its Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO) and Chief Executive Officer of AmBank (M) Berhad on 22 November 2023. Dato' Sulaiman reached the company's retirement age of 60 in January earlier this year having led the banking group for 8 years. His tenure at the Group saw him proficiently steer the company through some of its most demanding challenges.
Dato' Sulaiman has had a distinguished career in banking over these many years. Tan Sri Md Nor Yusof, Chairman of AMMB Holdings Berhad, said, "I had the privilege of knowing Dato’ Sulaiman since the time he first started his banking career at Bank of Commerce in 1987. I can attest to his considerable and wide experience over more than 35 years culminating in leading the AmBank Group. This is certainly a significant value he will bring to wherever he decides to offer his service next."
