AmBank Group announced its participation in the SME Stabilisation Relief Facility (“SME SRF”) through AmBank (M) Berhad and AmBank Islamic Berhad, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to support SMEs facing short-term financial pressures from global trade and supply chain disruptions linked to the West Asia conflict.The SME SRF is designed to provide timely working capital financing to help stabilise viable SMEs business operations and maintain business continuity during this period of heightened economic uncertainty.
As part of AmBank Group’s commitment to delivering timely financial support, a new fast‑track process has been introduced for both existing and new‑to‑bank business customers. The Group is targeting an approval‑to‑disbursement turnaround time of as fast as three weeks for eligible applications, subject to the completeness of documentation and fulfilment of financing requirements.
Under this facility, eligible SMEs can access:
- Financing amount: Up to RM750,000
- Tenure: Up to five (5) years
- Financing / profit rate: Maximum of 3.75% per annum, inclusive of guarantee fees
- Guarantee support: Up to 80% guarantee coverage provided by Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia (CGC) and Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan (SJPP), particularly benefiting SMEs with limited collateral
Applications for the SME SRF are open from 15 May 2026 to 31 December 2026, or until full utilisation of the allocated funds of RM5 billion, whichever earlier – with priority consideration given to materially and financially affected Malaysian SMEs.
