AmBank Islamic has manifested its support for Ibupreneur, one of the leading social enterprises dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs mainly from the asnaf and B40 categories, through the iTEKAD programme where AmBank Islamic has allocated RM450,000 in the form of seed capital funding and capacity building to help fuel their development and growth.
This initiative is part of AmBank Islamic’s ongoing commitment to nurturing micro-entrepreneurs across Malaysia. The funds will be used to provide working capital to the selected participants and access to comprehensive training modules designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary for long-term success. The capacity building programme spans over a year and is inclusive of monitoring period, focusing on sustainable growth and market readiness.

“Besides providing the funds, our employees will also be volunteering in conducting the relevant training and workshops for the participants under Ibupreneur throughout the programme,” added Eqhwan.
Ibupreneur, which has made strides in supporting women entrepreneurs, will leverage this funding to enhance its training programmes for the participants of this iTEKAD programme.

To date, AmBank Islamic has provided more than RM1 million worth of grants to multiple segments of micro-entrepreneurs nationwide for upskilling and capacity building efforts. For FY25, AmBank Islamic is allocating a total of RM2.8 million for the iTEKAD programme.
