AmGroup Foundation Renews RM75,000 Sponsorship with The Lost Food Project for the Fifth Consecutive Year

AmGroup Foundation has renewed its RM75,000 sponsorship with The Lost Food Project (TLFP) for the fifth consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to supporting hunger relief, food rescue and food security initiatives in Malaysia.

The renewed commitment occasion was recently held at TLFP’s warehouse, attended by Jamie Ling, Group Chief Executive Officer of AmBank Group; AmBank Group Senior Management; and AmBank volunteers.

As part of this year’s collaboration, AmGroup Foundation also sponsored the installation of a retractable roof at TLFP’s warehouse. The retractable roof will provide much-needed shade and protection from the heat, creating a more comfortable environment and facilitating the smooth distribution of surplus food to charitable organisations and communities when they collect food from the warehouse.

During the visit, AmBank Group Senior Management and volunteers also participated in sorting fresh produce for distribution to communities in need, further demonstrating the Group’s commitment to fostering a more sustainable and equitable food system in Malaysia.

Through the AmBank Volunteer Network (AVN), AmBank employees have been actively supporting TLFP’s initiatives through activities such as fresh produce sorting at the warehouse and bread rescue efforts for delivery to underprivileged communities. With the continued sponsorship, AmGroup Foundation aims to support TLFP in recovering more surplus food, expanding its reach and creating a lasting impact in addressing food insecurity nationwide.

AmGroup Foundation is the Group’s dedicated philanthropic and sustainability arm, aimed at creating sustainable, inclusive and measurable impact for communities in Malaysia through focused investments in education, financial inclusion, community resilience and climate action.
