FINCO ACE Camp & Job Shadowing at Bangunan AmBank & Menara AmBank

17 April 2025

AmBank recently participated in the FINCO ACE CAMP organised under the Financial Industry Collective Outreach (FINCO), a collaborative initiative pioneered by financial institutions in Malaysia with the guidance of Bank Negara Malaysia, which was held from 15 until 17 April 2025. More than 90 underprivileged students aged 18 years old took part in this eye-opening experience under two programmes; FINCO ACE CAMP: Mentoring at the International Youth Centre and FINCO ACE CAMP: Job Shadowing at Menara AmBank and Bangunan AmBank Group, giving them a much-needed boost as they gear up for life after SPM. It was made possible with the passion and commitment of 12 AmBank Volunteers from various departments and lines of business.

FINCO ACE CAMP: Mentoring
This was a face-to-face session which was held for two days from 15 until 16 April 2025 specially organised for active FINCO students after completing their SPM examination to help them figure out their next steps, whether it is further studies, entering the workforce or chasing big dreams. Through interactive mentoring and practical guidance, the students came out of the session with clearer goals and the confidence to pursue them.

FINCO ACE CAMP: Job Shadowing
Meanwhile, under Job Shadowing which took placed on 17 April 2025, things got even more hands-on. Students were matched with volunteers from different roles in AmBank Group, giving them a rare behind-the-scene look at what the working world is really like. The volunteers did not just talk about their jobs, they also got the students involved through real-life tasks and meaningful conversations.
