Responsibilities
Group Wealth Management (branded under AmWealth) of AmBank Group, setting the strategic vision and driving sustainable growth and profitability across Private Banking, Priority Private, AmFunds Management Berhad, and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd.
Leads the execution of the Group’s wealth strategy by integrating a comprehensive suite of investment products and solutions for individual, institutional and corporate clients, strengthening AmBank Group’s position in wealth management.
Experience
She has more than 28 years of experience in the financial industry, with expertise spanning money broking, bond trading, and 22 years in funds management.
She joined the Group’s funds management business in 2002 and has held various senior management roles, including Acting CEO, Deputy CEO, and Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income.
In 2018, she was appointed CEO of AmFunds Management Berhad (AFM), overseeing the AmInvest brand, which encompasses the funds management business of both AFM and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd.
She led AmInvest to become a multiple award-winning fund house with over four decades of investing experience. Under her leadership, as of 31 December 2024, AmInvest solidified its leadership position in sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) in Malaysia, commanding the largest AUM market share of 30.1% and having the highest number of SRI-qualified funds approved by the Securities Commission.
In recognition of her outstanding leadership, she was awarded CEO of the Year for Malaysia by Asia Asset Management at the 2025 Best of the Best Awards.
